operation: painting day

Finally, another room has been completed. And while it took a couple of days to complete, I did get some unexpected help. Charlie’s greatest achievement was working out how to use the screwdriver (which now has a couple of chunks missing from it).

Now only three rooms left to go.

Update: Claire just reminded me that we had a small accident during the painting. We laid down the blue plastic everywhere, and Charlie thought it was a good place to pee. Don’t particularly know why. Aparently it was also a good place to bury treats too!

FC came to mums house at christmas. Amazingly, he reminded me of someone I know, but that could be pure coincidence. Charlie thought the glow sticks were cool too….

it’s an apple christmas

Apple always manages to do funny and silly adverts for its products. The christmas ‘get a mac’ ad is no different. Click here to view the video. (via istarted something).

mainiacs for maniacle means

OK its naive and over idealistic… But I do find it interesting that the same words are still coming out of people’s mouths:

I think we are are being run by mainiacs for maniacle means. If anybody can put on paper what our government and the American government, and the Russian and China are trying to do, and actually think they are doing. I’d be very please to know what they’re doing. I think they’re all insane. But I’m liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That’s what’s insane about it.

I also find it completely bizarre that people sing Lennon’s Christmas Song at carols nights without understanding that it is taking the piss out of everything. It does make christmas carols that much more tolerable. (via zefrank)

P.S. I still wear my black zefrank ducky tshirt… I remember when he was still cool.

get some bush on ya!

brianswholesale_1978_64712181.jpg

I just stumbled upon this roundup of great Bush t-shirts. The miscellaneous quotes on the page are also worth a laugh.

“It’s important for us to explain to our nation that life is important. It’s not only life of babies, but it’s life of children living in, you know, the dark dungeons of the Internet.” — Arlington Heights, IL, Oct. 24, 2000

gaming christmas tree

Christmas trees generally make sigh with contempt, however this one caught my eye. It’s based in Madrid, Spain. For those not nerdy enough to understand the relevance, its a PacMan tree, complete with ghosts and little ecstacy tablets (at least that is what i think PacMan eats). (via Kotaku).

alex and tanya’s wedding

wedding-main.png

Here are some pictures from Alex’s and Tanya’s wedding. The photo above was taken just after the photographer explained what he would be possibly doing with his wife after the reception, back at the hotel.

The wedding was very nice, and whoever tied up Alex’s tie deserves a pat on the back for doing a great job… he he.

crayon physics

(from break.com)

I recently stumbled across a video for a new game that uses a tablet PC, stylus, and some creative imagination. The video above shows the simple nature of the game, and yet although it was simple I couldn’t imagine a more fun game.

After hunting down the developer, via a french interview, I found that this is not a full development project. Just one developer, playing with simple ideas for games that take less than a month to develop. Exposure has caused a few issues with him in the last week. Everyone wants the game, and for him it isnt much more than a pet project.

Well hopefully he decides to pursue it a bit more. I’m sure I’d buy it just to play a little. If  you are interested in checking out the developer, here is the blog entry that explains it all.

Honestly, I wish more developers put some thought in their games, and took a few risks from time to time… EA, I’m looking in your direction.
