The Age website has a simple yet fun flash game that will let you decide who wins the current Australian federal political battle. Attack John Howard or Kevin Rudd to force the election in a particular dircection. Even if you are not into politics, bash them just for your own amusement. (link)
Congratulations to Nicole on turning 30, who looked absolutely gorgeous. It was a wonderful night, albeit a little blurry after happy hour. And we didnt fail to get an education at the same time… From memory, the things that I learnt:
Best quote of the night goes to Tom:
Ben: “I’m not allowed to get a bike…”
Tom: “You’re married. You already have a bike, you’re just not allowed to ride it anymore”.
Another toy to waste my monies on… Asus today announced the “Eee”, a 7 inch laptop aimed at the $299 - $399 USD price point. Sounds rather like the “Wii”. Wonder where they got the inspiration for. Personally i think it’s fantastic. For one, it doesn’t run windows, so it’s probably not too bloaty. Also runs a flash disk. Yum…
I hope they start selling them here, I don’t know what I’d use it for but it sounds great. (link)

Probably the most important thing to happen to the race for the next US President happened today. And while it’s occurring thousands of kilometers away from us, in a place that would be better managed by dropping a nuke in its own regional territory, i’m happy to see the race go in this direction. The NY Times is reporting that Stephen Colbert threw his hat into the race for the South Carolina Primary, and hopes to be listed on both the Democratic and Republican tickets. I’m sure there will be a few angry people following closely. (link)

When it comes to the bizarre concept cars, our friends in Japan seem to take the cake. Imagine making a car that gives birth to mini cars, or a ball on wheels that spins around to make parking easy… (link)
I’m really a child at heart, and one of the most entertaining things i have found recently tickles my childish bones. The Insurgents Wilderness Gruppo; a resistance group composed of animals who have gained human intelligence (and hence the will to kill in an advanced manner) by being affected by a retrovirus glossed my screen.
These real world figurine representations of the I.W.G are brilliant. Combine the cute animals made by RocketWorld with the ability to kill in sadistic means, and the fun just begins. (link)

The glorious blog DannyChoo often has some fantastic insights into the modern day culture of Japan. I’m all for the lovely japanese girls, but sometimes it gets a bit weird. Imagine a cafe where you collect points for each coffee you consume, allowing you to photograph the lovely girls in their maid dresses after you collect enough. (link)
Just amuse yourself for a minute… I’m off to buy a ticket to Japan.
I love the new Sony Bravia advert. The group of people responsible for marketing the Bravia tv are just fantastic. Those lovely balls bouncing down the hill, all that paint exploding from the buildings. I get drunk on the colour every time. Via swissmiss

When we received a phone call today to tell us that the alarm was going off, I don’t believe they realised just how cunning the intruder was going to be. Invisible and agile as a ninja, she managed to evade me at every turn. Luckily I know her weakness… Should have just filled the house with dried pigs ears and brand new shoes. Well it worked today.

The overly time comsuming BoingBoing pointed me to this fantastic font recently. It instantly reminded me of something that would be perfect for my gorgeous sister. Pity its over six months before we can use it on her birthday card. Available for both Mac and PC. (link)

I just happened to perusing a couple of blogs and found another reason why i should venture to the sushi capital Tokyo. I think i’m in love, and for some strange and probably lust driven reason i can’t take my eyes off of her. She’s at Japan’s first Adult Sex Show convention, and is probably being paid to entertain the masses, so i don’t hold much hope for us. Needless to say, my wife would probably have something to say about it too. (link)
